WAITINg PERIODS in HEALTH & DENTAL INSURANCE...WHY?
It’s simple:
Waiting periods are necessary in order to protect against
anti-selection and in turn maintain the stability of premiums.
Can I get my waiting period "Waived"?
Yes. If you have had other health and/or dental coverage within
the last 90 days (with proof), we will be able to waive those waiting periods.
Therefore, you will have access to those benefits immediately.
How long do I have to wait until I can claim?
The term “Waiting
Period” means the continuous period of time during which a
participant must be covered by the policy before being eligible for coverage.
